There’s a subtle magic that comes into your home when warm pecan pie comes out of the oven. Your home smells like, and pecan pie tastes like, Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house. Not to mention, it’s the simplest thing in the world to whip up. It’s mostly foolproof. And it’s always an old-school favorite at any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- ▢ — ½ cup butter melted
- ▢ — 1 box light brown sugar 16 oz
- ▢ — 2 tbsp cornmeal
- ▢ — 2 tbsp water
- ▢ — 1 tbsp vanilla
- ▢ — 4 eggs
- ▢ — 2 cups pecans broken
- ▢ — 2 pie shells unbaked
Instructions
- ▢ — Melt butter and mix (by hand) with sugar, corn meal, water, vanilla and eggs.
- ▢ — Add pecan pieces.
- ▢ — Pour into unbaked pie shells.
- ▢ — Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
