I tell you folks, there’s nothing I like better than a homemade coconut pie! The bought ones are delicious, but I don’t know why, homemade ones have a different something!! Maybe thoughts of your mama and the ones she made! I thought no one could beat my mama’s cooking! Enjoy!

- 2 eggs
- 1 ¼ stick butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 dash salt
- 1 can Angel flake coconut
- 1 pie shell unbaked
- Mix ingredients and pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 350 degrees until slightly brown.
- Lower heat to 300 degrees and finish baking 50 to 60 minutes, until done.
How much coconut is in a can? I have never seen coconut in a can lol
This is an old recipe. I think it’s all mostly in packs now. I would assume the recipe means a 14 oz. package, like this one on Amazon.
