Old Fashioned Golden Appe Pie

"An old fashioned golden apple pie recipe. If I had to make the choice of what pie I loved better than any, it would be hands down APPLE! You can’t beat a warm piece of homemade apple pie with ice cream! Um-Um good!!!" ~ Mama Peggy

Ingredients
5 to 7 Golden Delicious apples,about 2 lbs.
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
⅛ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
2 Tbsp. flour
pastry for two 9 in. pies
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Instructions
Peel, core and slice apples ¼ inch thick to equal 7 cups.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Combine sugar, spices, salt and flour.
Toss with apples.
Place into pastry-lined pie plate.
Dot with butter or margarine; adjust top crust.
Seal and flute edges; cut vents into top crust.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown and tender!

Note: You may make your own crusts but it's much quicker to buy them at the grocery store! If I had to make the choice of what pie I loved better than any, it would be hands down APPLE! You can't beat a warm piece of homemade apple pie with ice cream! Um-Um good!!! ENJOY! ~ Mama Peggy
